It goes without saying that we are in an era where everything is moving digitally. From the time you see a company to the point where you go on to purchase their product, most businesses will have an option available for you to purchase online. Statistics prove it! Roughly 75% of businesses in the U.S have a social media presence in 2020 (HubSpot, 2020).

But what’s so different about the way we market our products in this new decade? In comparison to the past, businesses now have the ability to produce content and advertise it at a certain geo-targeted audience.

This is extraordinary and even more with the fact that you don’t even need to necessarily spend hours looking for who your audience is — the social media platform does it for you.

The “Automatic” option of Facebook’s advertisement system is very useful when you first start to build your presence and you haven’t had the opportunity to really study your market. This feature can be important, especially for a business or individual that just started out and does not have a clear idea of who they are marketing to.

Alright, now that we know a little bit more about marketing in 2020, why do I need to worry about the content? Can’t I just put something up on my page and expect people to get it? The answer is without a doubt no.

As much as it is important to learn who you’re marketing to, understanding what they would appreciate to see on your page is something crucial to anyone that is trying to be efficient with their use of social media as a marketing tool.

Their are many ways in which someone chooses to create content for social media (high quality videos or photos). However, I have managed to narrow it down to three options, they either choose to; do it themselves, have it done by friends. or have professionals do it for them.

I have found that, no matter how much you want to do everything for your company, you can’t. Creating content on your own is really inefficient, even when you have the necessary skills to do so. Which is why you need a helping hand.

Alright then, I can ask my good friend who knows a little bit about camera work, right? Well, there is a downside to that.

You cannot grow a page and online presence by posting once every month. Which is something that will happen quite often if you decide to leave everything up to your friends that know a little bit about filming. Although you should be thankful for your friends and the help they give you, they won’t be reliable over a long period of time. Not because they don’t want to help you, but simply because they cannot fit the enormous amount of time it takes to create that content daily.

You simply do not have the time to create everything from scratch on your own, you need professional help. If you’re really trying to ride the new wave of digital marketing, you must invest in it, but invest properly!

A good place to start looking is freelancers. From videographers to graphic designers, freelancers are living off creating content for your business. Online freelancers are definitely the quickest and easiest way to find the right person for you. There are platforms designed for to find the best suiting freelancer for your needs.

I suggest trying out this website, I think of it as the quickest way to find the right content for your page and ensure reliability of your work online.

This online platform can be particularly interesting these days because it might be hard to reach out for offline freelancers due to the ongoing pandemic. Which is why this is the right moment for a business to switch and create advertisements online in order to stay updated against the slowly, but also shifting rest of the competition.

Now the question might be, is this really reliable? Of course, you need to make sure that what you are investing in is trustworthy. The main way to go about doing this is background research. Have a look, do they have an online presence themselves? What type of content are they making? Is there content good enough quality for my business?

After finding out about all of those components, you have finally made it. Now all it takes is to truly keep on creating and learning more about your audience so that you may inform the professionals you are working with and allow them to give you the best content possible for your project.
